Alice Curtayne (1901–1981), born in Country Kerry, Ireland, married fellow author Stephen Rynne in 1935, and with him raised a family on their farm in County Kildare, Ireland. She frequently visited the United States on lecture tours. She has written The Trial of Oliver Plunkett, historical surveys of Ireland, numerous biographies, and two collections of Irish saints’ stories for children.
