Nervous after reading reviews and bought it anyway -- I LOVE it!
I read the reviews and the "paper quality" issue made me nervous to buy such an expensive planner. Never fear! Buy this and love it, as I do! Paper: I use ball point pens or pencil for my planner and there's no see through issue. The paper is much thicker than I expected after reading reviews. I'd describe it as a very thick looseleaf. It's thick enough that I don't feel like it's bad quality, it doesn't crinkle, it takes an eraser w/o issue, and is easy to turn. I wish the cover was thicker. But it's holding up fine in my bag and I bring it with me everywhere. ***I'd even be interested in an offering of hole punched sheets and just put it in a binder of my own.*** Organizational content is fantastic! I can tell that an homeschooling mom designed this! The monthly blocks are big. Every single week has TWO 2-page spreads! 1 spread is the typical 7 days at a glance. Very nice organizational detail having a split on each day to make a list and also notes. Love the box at the bottom of the page for additional. The other week 2 page spread is an amazing feature! Check the video to see all the features that you get on this each week. And I love a FULL PAGE for notes each week! Spiritual and Art Content Wow! I love to have all of the liturgical days marked on both the monthly and heading the weekly days. I bought this calendar because I hoped it would help me to stay focused on eternal things each day and it has <3 The art is beautiful. At first, I wished that the author had included some kind of explanation of different feast and saint days (knowing that this would have made it too big!). But I've actually really enjoyed not having them explained because I've looked up those which I was not familiar with. (And used the week's blank page to write my notes about the holy days that week!) I'm a homeschooling mom, homemaker, and homesteader. I have a LOT to keep up with. I rely heavily on my planner each day and take a lot of time to choose one each year because it has a LOT TO DO for me! This planner is spectacular in its organization. And the liturgical focus is such a blessing every single day! Thank you for making this amazing planner!!!

Beautiful but not high quality
It is beautiful. I like the 2 spreads for each week because it gives me lots of space. The cover is not rigid at all. It will likely get torn up pretty quickly if I take it on errands. This is disappointing because higher quality materials would make this a truly great planner.

Great First Edition - Can't wait to see more!!
I love the beauty of this Catholic planner. I ordered the mini planner. I agree with the other reviews that the pages are too thin and that it will be hard to keep this planner looking nice all year long. I have found that the G2 07 Pilot pens do not seem to bleed through and have chosen the gold color for writing (matches the color in the planner). I would prefer a vertical appointment spread (I do like the previously mentioned idea of meal planning on the appointment pages and idea of time slots). I greatly appreciate the extra two page spread for weekly goals, tracker, and planning. I like the dot page for bullet journaling, weekly examen, gratitudes, weather, exercise, etc. I like the future planning page spread in the back. I'd be willing to forgo the extra two months for thicker pages. Removeable bookmark, monthly tabs, and clear plastic cover with elastic band would be a nice bonus!

Difficulty with two spreads for each week
What I love: I give 5 starts for the traditional liturgical value, and absolutely love how this is a mom's companion to the wall calendar. I enjoy monthly spreads with the feast days, liturgical colors and the large image for the month. Artistic quality is wonderful! Struggles: I am having great difficulty with two weekly spreads and would much rather have everything on one open spread. It's hard to navigate flipping through the extra page, for example, I would rather room for meal planning be on each day within the liturgical week to plan our meals feast/fast according to the liturgical schedule without flipping back and forth. I also struggle with days laid out in a horizontal form in the weekly spread and prefer a vertical layout with times, then I can fit lists, meal planning within the day. It is also too thick, making it cumbersome to carry. I ordered the large size which also makes it bulky, but the smaller version would have been too small (one size in between would have been ideal). Suggestions for future: Combine week to one open spread using vertical layout with times, this would also greatly improve paper quality used as it would cut the amount of printing almost in half. (for those who like the extra space I recommend a separate notebook/journal, but personally I would use my own that I can scratch up, write grocery lists, etc.; I just want to see it at the same time versus flipping around). I think the higher quality paper would also benefit the art quality of the images. If I am being too nitpicky because of my own personal preferences maybe the images with dates/feasts could be printed in a sticker form, that way I could put them in a planner of my choosing? I hate to give it anything less than 5 stars because of the value and effort, but I'm sure next year will have the necessary improvements!

onderful planner with incredible potential
This is a gorgeous full-color planner for the traditional family, ideally for a homemaker. I love the quotes throughout, the useful goals and habit trackers for each week, the meal planning space, bullet page, and various notations for feast days and holy days of obligation. While some may not, I actually very much like the spiral binding and the planner can fold flat. My one concern in ordering this planner was the paper quality; it is a serious issue. The pages are very thin, and it feels as thin as a post-it note. I suspect this is to cut down on the thickness of the planner, as it is just under 3/4" thick (for the mini sized planner). If heavier paper were used, it would probably make it bulkier. Another area for improvement is to increase the space for meal planning. It is very small, and can only house one meal per day in my opinion. Again, I have the mini sized version, so maybe this is not an issue with the full-size one. If I am being very nit-picky, I would also mention that the art for each day is preferred style; that being said, I appreciate that it is in color. Let me be the first to say that this is a wonderful planner with incredible potential for future editions. It is a cost-effective alternative to the popular SaintMaker, and I like the format better too. My husband's SaintMaker is split up quarterly with a book binding, and daily time-slots to write in appointments. I appreciate that this planner covers 14 months, with 8 lines in each day to write in activities/appointments, and also includes the spiral binding. Thank you, Sophia Press! I will look forward to purchasing again when the paper quality is improved!
