Truth without threats
"Fire of love" is an apt title. Seeing purgatory from the viewpoint of an act of love helps one to adjust its the reality. No coercion, no sensationalism just the plain truth.

Purgatory - it's not Limbo
If you're a Catholic wondering about purgatory, then St Catherine of Genoa and her purgatorial visions from our Lord are quite the resource. She writes that we don't worry about who is "going on" before us (there is no sense of time) or remember the particular sins which brought us there, or to whom we hurt through our mortal sins, we only feel and understand that God is purifying us and that our remorse is in our distance from Him

St Catherine explains purgatory so that it makes sense. There is reason and understanding regarding this belief. It's a great book and provides much to think about.
